After opening his own furnace, Archimede Seguso updated that original design into the slightly cleaner look seen here with a wide, flat rim and claimed back austerity by the elimination of controlled air bubbles. He also added significant thickness and weight, as well as incorporating his hallmark heavy-handed use of gold leaf. As evidenced by the photographs, this is a very robust and interesting piece of glass. It can anchor any side table in your home and will almost certainly garner\u003cbr\u003einquisitive comments from guests.
