The oval dark green Turquoise stone has a thick smooth bezel and a wide silver frame leading to six raindrops, three on each side atop the triple split shank. The craftsmanship of this ring is early and of high quality. The underside shows a neat detail sometimes found on early Navajo and Pueblo jewelry, a trader code. This code was inscribed by the trader who purchased the ring for resale and it indicated, once translated, how much they paid among possibly other things. That way, the trader could quickly negotiate with a potential buyer and always knew how much they paid at quick glance. The code may also have included some indication of who made the ring, so they knew who to return to for future purchases. For me, it is a cool detail of a historic period and adds to the provenance and mystique.

Excellent condition.

Shipping is free within the United States.
If you are an international customer, your shipping cost will show once you have added the item to your cart.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0687/0132/3487/files/IMG_2751_191c1b42-1cec-4298-b9d7-4feacafec78f.jpg?v=1764705789
