The evenly executed style of sommerso glass, as exhibited in this vase, was wildly popular on Murano during the Mid-Century Modern design period. Various companies produced glass in this style, but few did it very well. Vetreria Gino Cenedese was one of the few who did. Their glassblowers were immensely talented, and they used quality materials providing these rich, sumptuous colors.
Excellent condition. A minor tool mark to one end congruent with this glass technique.
