Vetreria Archimede Seguso
Italy, circa 1990
Black glass with red-orange brushed motif

The esteemed Archimede Seguso was one of the most talented glassblowers of the twentieth century; not just on Murano, but in the world. The series from which this pair comes was one of the last that Archimede Seguso created, as the Maestro passed away shortly after in 1999. Consistent with his approach all his life, these have great design value and were executed magnificently. The black base glass with a wide brushstroke of red-orange is a perfect pairing and underscores his tasteful eye. Classic in form and restrained in decor type, this pair is for the discerning collector. The underside of each is inscribed with the typical signature of "Archimede Seguso Murano".
Excellent condition.
