AVEM had some of the most eclectic and interesting glass production, especially in the post-war period. They retained various famous glass designers and blowers, including Emilio Nason, Giorgio Ferro, Anzolo Fuga, and Luciano Ferro just to name a few. This vase, in shell form, features ruby red glass submerged in clear with deep, wide exterior ribbing. The interior is heavily iridized and it sits atop a thick disc base. It is a very nice example of immediate post-war Murano glass production.
