Italy, ca. 1940 Green pulegoso glass vase pair with applied aventurine spots and iridescent surface 12 3/8" h (31.5 cm)
Pulegoso glass, made popular by Napoleone Martinuzzi while designing for VSM Venini & C., contains tiny frothy air bubbles that offer a unique opaque decor with a texturized surface. This pair was also decorated with a spotted aventurine motif and an iridescent surface finish.
