Italy, 1933 Cobalt blue soffiato vase with cinched body 11 3/4" h (29.5cm)
The popularity of soffiato glass continued into the thirties and was frequently done in darker colors, including this very rich cobalt blue. This vase features a ribbed body that has two cinched areas providing a very elegant and atypical look. It is signed to the underside with the two-line acid stamp <Made in Italy>.
Excellent condition.
