In the post-war period, few Muranese glass designers have such high acclaim as Ercole Barovier. His design work has been revered and collected since it was originally produced. This bowl, part of a scarcely seen mid-century series, features a mauve colored flora-themed chain motif executed in a spiral manner atop a bed of gold leaf The form itself is essential and presents the decor beautifully.
Excellent condition.
