Ercole Barovier
A canne polichrome birds, pair
Barovier & Toso
Italy, ca. 1956
Polychrome birds atop base
Small: 3 3/4" h, 5 1/2" l (9.5, 14 cm)
Large: 7" h, ~6 1/2" l (18, 16.5 cm)
From a relatively scarce series designed by Ercole Barovier, this pair of birds features a polychrome cane body and various applied details. Each also sits atop a round clear base.
Excellent condition. The small example has a minuscule open bubble on the underside, which is congruent with this cane decor type. The larger one has some minor traces of handling in the form of tiny scratches to one small area on the back.
