Seguso Vetri d'Arte Italy, ca. 1959 Verde Erba-Giallo sommerso glass 9 1/2" h (24 cm)
The designs of Flavio Poli during the fifties and early sixties epitomize the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic. This sommerso vase, executed in the Verde Erba-Giallo color combination, is a rare model and is seldom seen. If you look closely, you can see a sliver of yellow glass in the midsection and near the rim. The exacting nature in which this piece was executed is truly wonderful.
