Seguso Vetri d'Arte Pink pulegoso induto vase with undulating surface Italy, ca. 1940 4 1/2" h (11.5 cm)
This undulating form, referred to as "Tronco" due to its tree trunk appearance, was designed by Flavio Poli and was immensely popular in the mid-thirties up until the war. It was executed in a variety of colors and glass decors. This example executed in pink cased pulegoso glass is a rarely seen variant.
