Luciano Gaspari was Artistic Director for Salviati & C. for many years and penned some of the most remarkable pieces during the Mid-Century time period. This beautiful sculpture is part of a Gaspari-designed series of modernistic animals, and features a bird with a sfumato effect from beak to tail which sits atop a multicolored base appearing boulder-like. It was wonderfully executed and is a true standout.
