VSM Venini & C. Italy, ca. 1925 Straw-colored glass vase with Meza Stampura detail 7 1/8" h, 6" d (18, 15 cm)
When Giacomo Cappellin and Paolo Venini dissolved their partnership in early 1925, they each opened their own respective glass company. The latter employed Napoleone Martinuzzi as Artistic Director who would design for VSM Venini & C. into 1931. This vase is an early Martinuzzi design for Venini and it dates to 1925/26. It is executed in straw-colored glass, an original series color, and features the "meza stampura" molded detail at the lower part of the body.
Excellent condition.
