Italy, 1950 Round bowl in orange and white zanfirico canes 5" d, 2 1/2" h (12.5 x 6.5cm)
In the post-war period, while looking back at Murano glass history, Paolo Venini designed a series of finely executed zanfirico pieces which were offered in a multitude of cane motifs and colors. This bowl is part of that series and consists of orange zanfirico type A canes and white zanfirico type C canes. The fineness of execution is practically unmatched during this period, and these pieces are truly spectacular.
