Dino Martens, the eclectic artist whose name is synonymous with Mid-Century Italian art glass, designed for Vetreria Aureliano Toso from about 1940 to 1963. Considered to be a pioneer in the field of glass, his designs are revered for their uniqueness and attention to detail. The Pulegoso Arlecchino series features white pulegoso glass with various polychrome shapes melted into the surface and is a true Mid-Century masterpiece. Model 5230 is a shape seldom seen in this series.
Excellent condition. One minor surface abrasion near the base, about 3/16” long.
