During the twenties, soffiato glass blown in the modernist aesthetic was immensely popular on Murano. Glass factories were getting away from historically traditional designs full of adornments in favor of clean, stripped-down designs. This vase shows a very restrained aesthetic with only two, simple applied handles. The rich red color is truly standout and is very complementary.
Very good condition. Minor mineral build up just below the neck noticeable upon close inspection.
