Vetrerie Artistiche Cirillo Maschio Soffiato vase with applied details
Italy, ca. 1930 Tan glass vase with clear handles and foot 7 1/2" h (19 cm)
While short-lived, the factory of Vetrerie Artistiche Cirillo Maschio produced some wonderful glass in the Novecento style. This soffiato glass vase features a light tan ribbed body with applied clear handles and a ring-style foot. It is signed on the bottom with the <MADE IN ITALY> inside of a diamond acid stamp that is associated with Cirillo Maschio.
Good condition. There is some light mineral build up to the inside, and a small heat crack in the body at the top of one of the handles, which likely happened in the making. The glass itself has numerous flaws, ash flecks and so forth, which are consistent with pre-war Murano glass.
