MVM Cappellin & C. Italy, ca. 1925 Pagliesco colored glass vase with ribbed body 5" h (13 cm)
When Giacomo Cappellin and Paolo Venini split and dissolved their glass company, VSM Cappellin Venini & C., in early 1925, Vittorio Zecchin continued designing for Giacomo Cappellin at his new firm, MVM Cappellin & Company. Zecchin would retain the Artistic Director title for about a year and a half. Seen here is a lovely soffiato vase model 5249v, with "v" indicating a variant to the original design given the ribbed detail. It was common for original VSM Cappellin Venini & C. pieces to be offered by the former partners' subsequent companies but with minor variations to the original designs. It is signed with the <MVM Cappellin Murano> acid stamp.
